If you've never had lash extensions before, classic lashes are the perfect place to start. One extension is applied to one natural lash, giving you a fuller, longer version of your own lash line — not a dramatic falsie look. Here's everything you need to know before you book.
Classic lashes are a single synthetic lash glued to a single natural lash. Because it's a 1:1 ratio, the finished look is natural and wearable — great for everyday, work, or if you've never worn falsies and want to ease in gently.
A full set usually takes around 90 minutes to 2 hours. You'll be lying down with your eyes closed the whole time, so most clients use it as an hour of proper downtime — bring your headphones and have a nap.
Your natural lashes shed and regrow constantly, so extensions last as long as the lash they're glued to — roughly 2 to 3 weeks before you'll notice gaps. Most clients come back for an infill every 2–3 weeks to keep the set full.
Keep them dry for the first 24 hours, avoid oil-based makeup and skincare around the eyes (oil breaks down the glue), and brush through with a clean spoolie daily. Sleeping on your back or side (not face down) helps them last longer too.
If you want something that looks like 'your lashes but better' rather than a bold, dramatic finish, classic is the one. If you're after more volume and drama, hybrid or Russian lashes might suit you better — more on those in our other guides.
Not when they're applied correctly and removed properly by a trained technician. Damage usually happens from picking at them, sleeping face-down, or having them removed incorrectly — never pull extensions off yourself.
You shouldn't need to, but if you do, use a lash-extension-safe, oil-free formula and only on the very tips.
A full set starts from £45, with infills from £40. See our current price list on the treatments page.
